Program Services
Grand Traverse Industries passionately advocates for those with disabilities and provides them with meaningful work opportunities.
We enjoy educating community partners on the many ways our clients can contribute to their staffing needs. Check out some of the services we offer below.
Day Program Services
Day Program Services are provided both in facility and out in the community. Staff provide team members with engaging programs and outings so they can stay active and build relationships with their peers. Activities include karaoke, music, cooking class, arts and crafts, exercise, and games. All of these opportunities are designed to keep a team member engaged and physically moving as they participate in a meaningful day.

Organizational Employment
Organizational Employment is a broad based vocational service providing training in basic and advanced work skills. Goals include facilitation of individual placements in the community work force and provision of realistic rewarding employment opportunities.
Organizational Employment is a facility based program that is provided in a manufacturing setting with staff supervision to complete various packaging and assembly jobs so that the individual may have the opportunity and dignity of earning a pay check.

Competitive Integrated Employment
Competitive integrated employment is work performed individually in the community where you would work independently full-time or part-time. This employment is provided by the community business and not GTI. We can provide resume support, application help, communication support, social navigation, and job coaching support. We also offer job exploration, job shadowing and job placement. Examples of competitive integrated employment would be working as a housekeeper or grocery clerk attendant. We may look at instituting a job club for newcomers to the program. If you have a dream of working independently at a certain business or work area, we want to help you accomplish this dream!
Supported Employment
Supported Employment is a training format providing a continuum of services in the community beyond the Organizational Employment Services. Supported Employment is offered within the context of a variety of work environments, including enclaves, affirmative business, individual placements, and work crews within private industry. Individual job coaching is provided where necessary. GTI staff are highly trained to work with all abilities to assist an individual on completing a job task with good quality. Supported Employment enclaves are operated all days of the week with various hours and shifts. These enclaves are generally smaller crews out in the community doing housekeeping, custodial, apartment cleaning, and manufacturing just to name a few.
